Homeschooling is not an easy task. There were times that I wanted to give up, doubting if I am doing the right thing to my children. That’s why I always remember these ABC’s of homeschooling base on bible verses. That every time I am anxious and in doubt, I will just remember these verses hope you’ll find them helpful just like me :-)Happy reading.
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
The first thing that I realize is that asking is for free. There where times in my homeschooling journey with my kids that I don’t know what to do. And all I can think of is asking myself, am I doing the right thing. This is where I call the Lord for help and He answer.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrew 11:6
Indeed the reward was so great that eventually you will realize how great He is for those who believe in Him.
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. 1 Peter 5:7
I remember when we are just starting doing our homeschooling I’ve got a lot of questions. Then one time this bible verse just passes through in my childrens books. Sometimes God really works in mysterious ways.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6-7
Yes, tell him what you need, if you need courage, wisdom or knowldge just let him know. This is the best lesson I’ve learned so far. Is there any bog problem greater than our God? I don’t think so.
Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning. James 1:17
Aren’t our children came from above and they are gift from God?
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
One of my favorite bible verse is this and I always remember how good He is to me. I always tell my children. He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his mercy.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Psalm 46:1-2
At the end of the day I always put this in my mind, specially when something is troubling me.That everything shall come into pass. Everything will end except the Lord.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.–Isaiah 40:29
There where times that as a homeschool mom I felt tired and weary specially if the day was not on my side and my children are not in the mood to study a lot of courage to discipline them. If you felt it, just remember to offer your day to the Lord and ask him to give you stenght.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.James 1:5
Wisdom is one of the best give we can ask to God. With all the negative things happen around us sometimes we forgot to think and decide what is right and just.
Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:35
When I stop working and decided to homeschool my children, my greatest fear was, where to get our resources. Though my husband is a hard worker but at that time we are drowning with debts because of our past business venture. But the Lord is true to his promisses. Just trust him, focus on him and you will never get hungry and thirsty again. From that day on looking back it’s been ten years of plentiful.
Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.”–Psalm 34:13
Cursing is one of my greatest weakness. Growing up in a family where cursing is like a dessert after eating. Untill I’ve learn that words is as powerful as a bullet going thru our hearts for the Lord says in the beginning there were words. Words are powerful, it can make or break a child so if it is nothing but true refrain your mouth for telling it.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
As a homeschool mom, our children are looking after us. We are a walking example of how they will act and become a better individual in the future. Same as what I am always telling them not because they are young they cannot get the respect they want to, but then they should show respect if they want to be respected.
My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Yes always remember when tired, when in doubt, when a lot of question coming your way always remember God is enough to ease all of this.
Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
His love is greater than anything in this world. Just like the Love for our Children, the reason why we are doing what we need to do.
Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you. Jeremiah 7:23
Obeying him was the best thing I never regret. All that I am and all that I have is all because of him.
Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
In everything I found prayer as the most powerful tool of all. As if I can talk to God anytime of the day.
Quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 1 Peter 3:4
